Porsche Warranty Coverage: What You Need To Know
New Vehicle Warranty
This warranty covers all your vehicle’s systems and components and applies for the first four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. If a warranty repair is required, it will be performed at any Porsche center in the US by Porsche-trained technicians using only Porsche-approved replacement parts.
Certain types of damage are not covered by warranty. These include the use of unauthorized parts, damage due to lack of maintenance, and damage caused by unauthorized repairs. Excluded situations are explained in detail in your warranty handbook.
Corrosion Perforation Limited Warranty
Corrosion affects any untreated metal exposed to water and air and will rapidly weaken and eventually destroy it. Perforation is a type of corrosion that forms a hole through a metal section from one side to the other. Your Porsche body panels and sections are treated against corrosion by specialized applications used on the metal during construction.
Corrosion protection lasts indefinitely and only needs reapplication if the metal is damaged. If corrosion or perforation occurs despite this specialized protection, the affected section or sections will be replaced at no charge. This warranty protection applies for twelve years and unlimited mileage.
California Emission Performance and Defects Warranty
New Jersey applies the California emissions regulations devised by the California Air Resources Board. These anti-smog regulations are more stringent than the Federal Emissions Standards determined by the EPA. Emissions are the dangerous and toxic chemicals produced as a byproduct of combustion. Your emissions system uses crushing pressure, intense heat, and chemical reactions to convert these chemicals into less harmful ones before they leave the tailpipe.
Your Porsche emission system complies with all California emissions standards. Most emissions system components are protected against defects for three years or 50,000 miles. Certain components, like the catalytic converter, have extended coverage applicable for seven years or 70,000 miles.
Porsche 24-hour Roadside Assistance Program
You receive complimentary roadside assistance for the full warranty duration. Help is available 24/7/365 by contacting Roadside Assistance, and expert technicians will be dispatched to you to provide a variety of services to get you back on the road again.
These services include jump-starting, flat tire assistance, lock-out assistance, emergency fuel delivery, and extrication or winch service. These services are free, but some forms of assistance, for example, a new tire, must be paid for.
