718 Basics

The 2025 718 models come in two styles: a hardtop coupe and a soft-top convertible. Aside from the roof style, both the Cayman and Boxster share just about every other feature, and can be equipped with varying levels of power. They each offer a base model, a Style Edition, S variant, and ultra-powerful GTS 4.0. The Cayman can also be had as a GT4 RS, which shares the most powerful engine of the lineup with the 718 Spyder RS.

Sensational Power

The engine in the base 718 models and Style Editions is a turbocharged 2.0-liter flat-four that makes 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, accelerating from zero to 60 mph in under five seconds. The S models come with a 2.5-liter version for 350 hp and 309 lb-ft of torque, and hits 60 mph in as little as 4.0 seconds. The GTS 4.0 models pack a 4.0-liter flat-six that makes 394 hp and up to 317 lb-ft.

For the most sensational power and speed, the Cayman GT4 RS and the Spyder RS feature a 4.0-liter flat-six tuned to 493 hp and 331 lb-ft, reaching 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds and boasting top track speeds of 196 mph and 191 mph, respectively.

Sporty Transmissions

All 718 models come with a standard six-speed manual transmission for low-effort, precise shifting and incredible driver engagement. If you’d rather not shift manually full-time, all models can be optionally equipped with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission, which offers the convenience of an automatic with the ability to shift manually whenever you’re in the mood.

Driver-Centered Interior

The sporty, ergonomic interior of the 718 models cradles you in comfort as you clip around corners or speed around the track. Heated two-way sports seats with power backrest adjustments are standard, covered in embossed leather and bolstered to keep you in place. The steering wheel rim, gear shift, door grab handles, and more also come covered in smooth-finish leather. There are many options to customize your cabin, including Adaptive Sports Seats with 18-way power adjustments and additional bolsters.

Whether you crave your thrills from a hardtop coupe or a roadster convertible, the 2025 718 models offer every performance, comfort, and technology feature you need to fulfill your sports car dreams.
